History

We are a family owned business, since 1918. It all began with J. R. Fryklund, an immigrant from Sweden looking to make a life in the new southwest. In 1918, he promptly opened a store to sell jewelry and optical services. Robert L. Hill Sr. and Nancy Hill, in 1954 bought the business and made it Hills Arizona Optical. His legend lives on still today with Robert L. Hill Jr. and his wife, Jenny Hill. The two

continue the business and constantly are moving forward. Their son Thomas E. Hill is the store manager and an aspiring optician. He is constantly learning and improving. Hill's Optical is one of the oldest in Arizona.
